Welcome in our cosy 2-bedroom flat. Though we can qualify it as rustic, it remains charming with its beams and floor tiles. The first bedroom offers a double bed, a side table and storage space while the second bedroom offers a single bed and drawers as well for some storage. The kitchen, nicely equipped with cook tops, microwave, ovens, coffee machine, electric kettle, toaster, a washing machine and all necessary crockeries, opens on the living area where you have a proper dining table, a seating area with a convertible couch bed ( 120cm large), a flat screen TV, an office desks and minor decorations. The toilette is separated from the bathroom. We provide all house and bed linens, and the flat comes with its own high speed internet connection by WIFI and cable. The apartment can accommodate up to 5 people but take into consideration that there is a single bed in one bedroom, a double bed in the second bedroom and a sofa bed ( 120X 190) in the living room.
The area is appreciated for it’s calmness compared to other touristic spots of Paris. We can called it the royal city as Vincennes is famous for its castle. Founded in the 12th century, the Château de Vincennes comprises a surrounding wall flanked by nine towers, pavilions, a 50-metre high medieval keep and a Flamboyant Gothic Holy Chapel (Sainte-Chapelle). Walking enthusiasts will be pleased as the town is located close to the Bois de Vincennes Forest. You will also appreciate the proximity with metro Line 1 ( Chateau des Vincennes) from where you can be in the centre of Paris les about 15 minutes or you can also grab the district line RER A ( Vincennes) within walking distance away from our flat and from where you will be in the center in less than 10 minutes. You have various commodities all around the apartment such as supermarket, bars, restaurants, shops, cinema halls and so on.
For those interested in knowing a bit more about this city of Vincennes, borderlinking Paris , below an extract from the net.
“Not far from Paris, Vincennes takes shape next to the eponymous wood. It is a dynamic city full of history that opens its doors to you. And the story begins in the twelfth century when Louis VII chose the wood of Vincennes as a hunting ground. He then undertakes to build a hunting lodge which will become the castle. In 1373, he ordered the construction of a low court intended to house his servants. It was not until 1787 that the commune was recognized as such. But the territory of Vincennes is narrow, and the inhabitants demand an extension of their land. This was done during the Revolution when the commune was enlarged by 238 hectares and then by an additional 94 hectares in the neighbouring communes in 1829. Vincennes was born and Vincennes soon became an important city thanks to a demographic increase due to the presence Large military barracks in the woods and the castle and the arrival of railway infrastructure. City of art and history, Vincennes can be visited as one leafs through a history book.
